EUC Racing Returns to King of the Motos with USA EUC Sanctioned Off-Road Racing

Last year, Amped Electric Games introduced ULTRA1 EUC racing to the world at King of the Hammers, proving that high-performance EUCs could compete in one of the most demanding off-road environments in motorsports. What began as a bold debut now returns in 2026 as a fully sanctioned USA EUC National Championship round.

This year, ULTRA1 racing at King of the Motos is elevated to official championship status, bringing standardized classes, national points, and professional race operations under the USA EUC banner. The partnership marks the evolution from exhibition to elite competition, and establishes King of the Motos as a cornerstone venue on the national electric unicycle racing calendar.

Event Overview

The USA EUC Championship presence at King of the Motos features two distinct race formats across two days, each designed to test a different dimension of rider skill and machine capability:

  • A closed-course technical Grand Prix
  • A long-distance desert enduro in an out-and-back navigation format

All races operate under the USA EUC Rulebook with official timing, standardized class structures, and national championship points.

Race 1: King of the Grand Prix

Friday, January 23 & Saturday, January 24
Infield Course – King of the Hammers

The opening round is a circuit-style ULTRA1 race on the infield track, emphasizing:

  • Precision cornering
  • Acceleration and braking control
  • Close-quarters racecraft
  • Consistency across multiple laps

Rider Meeting
Friday, January 23 – 12:00 PM
Location: Hammertown, Amped Electric Games Booth

Race Times
Friday, January 23 – 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Saturday, January 24 – 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Operations & Timing

  • Official timing transponders required
  • No race entry fees
  • Timing and scoring managed by USA EUC officials
  • Head-to-head racing on a spectator-friendly technical circuit

This race launches the championship weekend and awards the first national points of the event.

Race 2: Desert Enduro (Out-and-Back) EUC Racing

Sunday, January 25 – Open Desert Course

The second round is a true ULTRA1 endurance and navigation challenge across open desert terrain.

Rider Meeting
Sunday, January 25 – 10:00 AM

Race Start
Sunday, January 25 – 12:00 PM

EUC Racing Format

Riders will:

  • Start from a designated base location
  • Navigate to a GPS-defined remote waypoint
  • Sign an official log at the checkpoint
  • Return immediately to the start

Final classification is based on verified elapsed time.

This format tests:

  • Endurance and battery management
  • Line choice and terrain reading
  • Navigation accuracy
  • Equipment reliability under sustained load

Equipment & Preparation

This is a self-supported desert endurance event. Riders must arrive fully prepared for remote conditions, including:

  • Electric unicycle capable of at least 20 miles of off-road range
  • GPS-enabled device for navigation
  • Hydration and desert safety equipment
  • Tools, spares, and personal support gear

This is not a short-course sprint. It is a full-scale ULTRA1 off-road endurance challenge.

EUC Racing Championship Points & Sanctioning

Both races award official USA EUC National Championship points using the standardized time-based scoring system. Results directly affect:

  • National rider rankings
  • Class standings
  • End-of-season championship qualification

As a sanctioned USA EUC round, King of the Motos operates under national safety and competition standards, including:

  • Course inspection and approval
  • Mandatory protective equipment
  • Medical and emergency response coordination
  • Certified timing systems
  • Class enforcement and eligibility verification

Why This Matters

Amped Electric Games introduced ULTRA1 racing to King of the Hammers. This year, in partnership with USA EUC, it returns as a fully sanctioned national championship event.

King of the Motos now represents:

  • One of the most extreme off-road tests in electric racing
  • Dual-format competition (Grand Prix + Enduro)
  • Integration into a national points championship
  • A venue already respected across the global motorsports community

For riders, it is a proving ground.
For manufacturers, it is a real-world performance benchmark.
For sponsors and media, it signals that electric unicycle racing has entered the era of structured, professional motorsport.
